AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Top meets bottom when Auckland City FC take on Hawke's Bay United in the National Youth League tomorrow.

The Junior Navy Blues have put together an undefeated five game run since the start of the campaign and could take a major step forward in their push for the title if they can pick up a win.

Injuries could play their part with several players doubtful for coach Aaron McFarland.

Solomon Granger (knee), Zack Ballantyne (quadricep), Seli Fuimaono (knee) and Josh Oliver (knee) are out and McFarland is wary of a potential Bay bounce back.

"Hawke’s Bay will be motivated to get themselves off the bottom of the table. This will likely produce a hard fought and competitive encounter.

"We have made improvements every week and on Sunday we expect to see this continue.
"Last week we produced a lot of opportunities which were left on the park so as a base expectation we want to make more of these.

"We also expect players to show their desire to make it to the next level by fully committing to a good Football style and being competitive," he said.

Hawke's Bay United have managed just one win this season and are clumped together with fellow strugglers Waitakere United and Southern United.

Canterbury United and Hamilton Wanderers play today while Eastern Suburbs AFC are away to Tasman United on Sunday.

The match between the Junior Navy Blues and Hawke's Bay United kicks off at 2pm
