UPDATED - Interview Requests Protocol

FIFA Club World Cup 2022

Auckland City FC have qualified for the FIFA Club World Cup 2022 and all media wishing to be kept up to date with news surrounding the club are invited to register their interest here. 

International and Domestic Interview Requests
International media that wish to make an interview request must first do so via the club's media department. Contacting players and/or coaches directly via social media will result in a negative answer to any and all requests.

Domestic and Regional Competition Protocols

Match Day
Interviews will be available with players and coaches immediately following matches. If you wish to conduct an interview, it is recommended that you inform the Auckland City FC media manager of any specific interview requests for assistance in coordinating interviews following matches.

Media must be at the designated “mixed zone” prior to the end of that team’s match. Team managers will provide available players, and the duration of interviews is at each player’s and/or coach’s allowance.

Priority requests are given to the host broadcaster post-match. 

Outside Match Day
Interview requests outside of Match Day must be made via the Auckland City FC media manager here who will either deny or grant the interview and/or facilitate as required.

Media Accreditation

FIFA Club World Cup
Media credentials for the FIFA Club World Cup are controlled by FIFA. Contact the FIFA Media Department via FIFA.com or FIFA Hub. 

OFC Champions League

Media credentials for the OFC Champions League will be run in tandem with the Oceania Football Confederation. The contact for the OFC can be contacted at +64 9 531 4096. 

National League Championship
Any media wishing to apply for media accreditation for the National League Championship may do so by applying directly to New Zealand Football. You can contact New Zealand Football by email either here or here.

Northern League

Media credentials for the Northern League season are available by application to Auckland City FC directly. You can contact Auckland City FC to outline your requirements by email here.

Match Day Media Operations at Kiwitea Street

Media Tribune 
The media tribune at Kiwitea Street is small so therefore space is allocated on a first come first serve basis. Access to the media tribune will open when general admission gates open for each day of competition.

Media without a workstation are welcome to sit in open seating in the designated areas of the clubrooms or stadium. Open seating is based on a first come, first serve basis.

Free WiFi will be provided and log-in information will be available from the Auckland City FC media manager.

Photo bibs will be available for pick up and return depending on the demand and whether the match is scheduled for broadcast.

If any media is found with alcoholic beverages or not working as designated in their assignment letter, the result will be an immediate revoking of their credential and dismissal from all press areas.

Photographers

Photography Procedures & Restrictions
Photographers must have a valid competition credential and photo bib to shoot from the designated photography areas on the field. Credentials must be worn outside of the vests.

No photography is allowed in the dressing rooms.

Absolutely no filming of competition play is allowed during competition unless agreed by the competition host broadcaster and/or New Zealand Football and/or the Oceania Football Confederation.

Failure to adhere to the filming regulations will result in an immediate revoking of your credential and dismissal from the venue.
