A Sam Burfoot goal midway through the second half of the first ever encounter was enough to hand Auckland City FC a famous 1-0 win. In 2015 the teams drew 2-2 with Roy Krishna and Troy Danaskas on target for the Nix. The Navy Blues goals were scored by Emiliano Tade.
