AUCKLAND, New Zealand - The Junior Navy Blues National Youth League campaign comes to a close when they face the Lilywhites youth team at St Peters College in Epsom on Sunday.

Their titles hopes disappeared after last week's disappointing 2-0 loss to arch-rivals Waitakere United at Fred Taylor Park but Auckland City FC go into tomorrow's match desperate to finish on a high.

A win for the Junior Navy Blues plus defeats for Team Wellington and Waitakere United would lift the Andy Peat-coached side into second place, a repeat of their campaign from last year.

By contrast, Eastern Suburbs AFC has endured a season of struggle but will eye this clash with the Junior Navy Blues as the ideal opportunity to put one over their fellow Aucklanders.

A win for Hoani Edwards youngsters would ensure a seventh place finish with Tasman United unable to catch them, a fair finish in the Lilywhites debut season at National Youth League level.

The Lilywhites have won three of their eight matches losing the other five and have had key players like Charles Spragg, Oscar Spragg, Tawanda Marowa and Matt Palmer away with Auckland Football Federation at the National Age Group Tournament in Wellington.

The match kicks off at 1pm at St Peters College in Epsom.
