AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Tong Zhou's community coaching programme continued its work when the Auckland City FC player hit King's College with Futurity Stars on Sunday.

Zhou, 34, who scored one of City's three goals in the 3-0 away win over Auckland United last week, enjoyed a group of 40+ children and youth players where talent identification forms part of his remit.

Futurity Stars, an Auckland City FC community partner, have been active in the Chinese football sector for some time and their coaches were busy rolling out fun activities at the school.

Auckland City FC General Manager, Gordon Watson, was present to support the programme and said:

"Tong Zhou gets extraordinary numbers to his programme and the outreach across Auckland has been impressive.

"There is no doubting his popularity among children and youth and the parents connect with him due to his reputation in China as a former professional player.

"We anticipate that Tong's programme will grow exponentially as time passes and it is clear that there are some very talented players going through his system.

"Futurity Stars are playing their role as well and there is a nice cultural blend between Auckland City FC and our partners."
