Futsal Navy Blues ready for Travel Series
AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Auckland City FC's Futsal Navy Blues are set for the Northern Travel Series showdown with Bay of Plenty Surge and Waikato Rapids after an intense preparation.
News talent has been brought in with Eduardo Exposito Espinsoa and goalkeeper Guilherme Garbuglia alongside long standing Futsal Navy Blues like Stephen Ashby-Peckham, Josh Margetts and goalkeeper Mike Antamanov to give City a new look for 2023.
Margetts said: "It's been a period of transition with a number of players coming in from East Coast Bays so developing understanding of what the club, its culture and objectives are takes time to gel.
"We've got a strong team with a lot of Futsal Whites experience and there are definitely more players in our squad who are close to representing New Zealand.
"We're excited for the season ahead," Margetts said.

The Futsal Navy Blues latest gathering saw Nic Downes team participate in their Team Media Day at the Croatian Cultural Society in Te Atatu
The season gets underway on Saturday 11 March at Trustpower Stadium in Tauranga when City face Bay of Plenty Surge at 1pm before taking on Waikato Rapids at 5pm the same day.
On Sunday 12 March, the Futsal Navy Blues face Bay of Plenty Surge at 9am and then complete the Northern Travel Series with a mouthwatering showdown with Waikato Rapids at 1pm.
