AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Auckland City FC are today delighted to announce the signing of the versatile Dan Morgan ahead of the new season.

Morgan, 32, started his career with Auckland City FC's National Youth League side in 2008-09 and made his first team debut in a 2-1 win over Al Fujairah on 5 December 2009 in Abu Dhabi just prior to the FIFA Club World Cup.

At just 19 years of age, then coach Paul Posa threw Morgan in as a replacement for Adam Dickinson late on against TP Mazembe, a move that saw the youngster play a part in Riki Van Steeden's last gasp winner in a 3-2 victory.

Morgan left City to follow a path with Three Kings United, Waitakere United and Birkenhead United before he returned to Kiwitea Street under then coach Ramon Tribulietx in late 2017.

During that period Morgan helped Auckland City FC retain their OFC Champions League title before he turned professional by signing a contract with South African Premier Soccer League side Maritzburg United where he stayed for two seasons.

Most recently with East Coast Bays, Morgan returns to Kiwitea Street for a third spell where he hopes to add to the 62 matches and seven goals scored across a 14 year association with Kiwitea Street.
