KONE, New Caledonia - Clayton Lewis wants to get the job done for New Zealand when the All Whites take to the pitch in Kone tomorrow.

Lewis, who played a key role in the All Whites 2-0 win over New Caledonia at QBE Stadium on Saturday, is fired up for the task ahead.

Patriotic as ever, Lewis outlined just what it means to pull on the All Whites kersey.

"Its a big privilege and honour to represent your country at any level and its a special honour especially in a FIFA World Cup qualifier.

"Its a massive honour and having that game at home was crazy and we hope to be able to get the job done tomorrow as well," he said.

Based in Kone, the Navy Blues favourite has kept his eye on developments back home with the Stirling Sports Premiership.

"Its been good I've had a lot of Twitter update from the game against Southern United on the weekend.

"There's been a lot of messages of support from the club and team-mates as well, its been great.

"We had a couple of changes to deal with as Takuya and Joao weren't there but it was good to get Micah Lea'alafa back and to win with a late goal by Fabrizio Tavano.

"It sounds like it was quite a tight game but I'm pleased the team got three points," he said.

One challenge on the horizon is the first Stirling Sports Premiership derby between the Navy Blues and the Lilywhites on December 18.

With rivals Luke Adams and Moses Dyer in the squad, Lewis says there has been some ribbing going on in the background.

"Having Moses and Luke play for Eastern Suburbs AFC means we've got a little banter going on so we're looking forward to that game with them just after the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan," he said.

While the All Whites are focused on handing Les Cagous their second defeat of the qualifiers, Lewis' has also had his eye on the news after yesterday's earthquake that shook the country.

"Its a sad time and Wellington got hit pretty bad which is my home town. I just hope everyone back home is safe and ok.

The match kicks off at 5pm local time (7pm NZST) on Tuesday 15 November at Stade Lucien Yoshida.
