AUCKLAND, New Zealand - The National Women's League comes to Kiwitea Street when Auckland Football Federation take on reigning champions Canterbury United Pride in Sandringham on Sunday.

Auckland Football Federation finished outside the playoff spot last season despite trouncing the eventual winners Pride 3-1 at McLennan Park.

Pride won the return match in Christchurch 1-0 then went on to beat the Northern Lights in a five goal thriller that went to extra time.

Auckland Football Federation have made a solid start to the season with wins over WaiBOP (3-0) and Southern United (4-2) alongside a draw with Capital (3-3).

They are one of four unbeaten teams in the competition, including the Pride who sit top, with three wins from three and an impressive goal difference of plus 15.

The action gets underway at the home of the Navy Blues and Central United at 1.30pm NZST and entry into Kiwitea Street is free.
