Zeb Ready for Auckland FC Reserves Test

Coming off a hard-fought 2-1 win over Fencibles United last weekend, Zeb is eager to see the squad continue their upward trajectory. “We’ve got a lot of new faces this season, including myself, so it’s really about gelling together,” he said. “I think everything’s been going really well, so we’re just looking to keep working on what we’re doing.”

While Auckland City FC sits level at the top of the Northern League table with Tauranga City on 15 points, their opponents have found life tough in their debut season.

Auckland FC Reserves have recorded just one victory—a Round 6 triumph over Manurewa FC—and currently sit second from the bottom with five points.

However, Zeb knows they will bring plenty of fight. “We know a little bit about Auckland FC reserves. We’ve been watching clips this week, and I know a few of their boys. They look sharp, and obviously, they’re fighting for professional contracts, so we know they’ll be really up for it,” he explained.

With City aiming to sharpen their attacking edge—having netted just nine times in seven matches—the Kiwitea faithful will be hoping for a confident display and a goal-laden afternoon.

Kickoff is set for 3 PM, with the Navy Blues determined to continue their momentum.
