Auckland City FC will be paying tribute to their club captain Ivan Vicelich, who has just arrived back in the country after New Zealand’s great performance at the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010.

Along with welcoming Vicelich home, Auckland City will be making a special presentation to the All White midfielder/defender in recognition of the fact that he is the first player in the club’s history to have participated at a World Cup Finals tournament.

The award will also acknowledge Vicelich’s long and outstanding service to football in New Zealand and Oceania over the past two decades.

Entry to this function, to be held at the club’s Kiwitea Street clubrooms in Sandringham, is free with doors and a cash bar opening from 6pm – all football supporters are welcome to attend.

The formalities will commence at 8pm.
