AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Navy Blues newcomer Haris Zeb is a gifted winger whose path to the top level has been defined by resilience, determination, and versatility.

Haris brings with him a unique footballing story and the promise of a bright future as Auckland City gear up for an exciting year ahead, including the prestigious 2025 FIFA Club World Cup™.

Born in New Zealand to Pakistani parents, Haris Zeb has developed a strong passion for football at a young age. Despite facing challenges, his career has been on a steady rise. Reflecting on his path, Haris shared, "Since I've grown up, everyone knows what Auckland City is about. I always had aspirations to put on the navy blue jersey, so it's been exciting, and I can't wait for the year ahead."

While his career has taken him across clubs in various regions, he now finds himself part of Oceania’s dominant club, Auckland City FC.  Haris is a winger, but his adaptability allows him to thrive in any position on the left side, making him a significant asset to the team.

As a dual citizen, Haris Zeb has come close to representing Pakistan internationally. He was called up by head coach Shahzad Anwar for the Four Nations Cup, but an unfortunate injury prevented him from making his debut. Nonetheless, he remains eligible to represent Pakistan, providing hope to fans eager to see him play on the international stage.

When asked about his experience so far at Auckland City FC, Haris expressed his excitement, saying, "The boys have been really good since I've joined. They've been very welcoming. I’ve known a few of them from playing alongside them for a couple of years, and it’s great to have others I’ve played with before signing this year. It’s been a smooth transition, and I’m looking forward to the year ahead."

The 2025 season holds significant opportunities for Haris and Auckland City FC, with major tournaments like the OFC Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup™ on the horizon. "It's really exciting. There are big tournaments to look forward to, and I’m eager to contribute to the team's success," Haris remarked.

Beyond football, Haris shared glimpses into his life outside the pitch. Balancing his professional career with personal interests and commitments, he reflects a grounded and driven individual who values growth on and off the field.

Welcome to the Navy Blues, and all the best for the year ahead Haris!
