Community Unites for a day of fun at Kiwitea

AUCKLAND, New Zealand - On a sun-kissed Sunday afternoon, Kiwitea Street came alive with the energy of our football community spanning generations.

From car washes to thrilling matches, this Carnival Day showcased the power of unity and the joy of coming together for a common cause.

Central United and Auckland City FC enthusiasts, both of whom consider this iconic venue their home, gathered to support the Central United 12th grade Cougars team's fundraising efforts for the upcoming 2024 Premier Invitational Tournament in Gold Coast, Australia.

The air was filled with tantalising aromas as food stalls offered an array of treats. From sizzling BBQ to delectable cakes, hot drinks and candy floss attendees indulged in a feast of flavours.

The Cougars took community service to heart, organising a car wash and dog wash. while on the field the Central United NRFL Women’s Championship side faced off against their Onehunga counterparts in a riveting Round 15 clash.

Upstairs in the clubrooms, the fans gathered to watch the live screening of the Chatham Cup quarter final between Napier City Rovers and Birkenhead United.

Good luck to the Cougars as they head to Australia next month carrying the spirit of Kiwitea Street with them.
