AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Six Auckland City FC players have been selected to play China in two friendlies in Beijing next week as the New Zealand Futsal Whites ramp up their preparations for October’s OFC Futsal Nations Cup that will determine who will represent Oceania at next year’s FIFA Futsal World Cup.
The Futsal Navy Blues in Marvin Eakins' 14-men squad include Mike Antamanov, Dylan Manickum, Stephen Ashby-Peckham, Adam Paulsen, Thomas Picken, Art Twigg as well as former ACFC player Hamish Grey who is now unattached.
The games will take place on September 15th and 17th with both matches scheduled to kick off at 10:30pm (NZT)
These matches are key part of the New Zealand team’s preparations for the OFC Futsal Nations Cup 2023 which will take place from October 1-7 at Bruce Pulman Arena in Auckland, with the winner of the competition qualifying for the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024 in Uzbekistan.
