Vale - Jared Williams
AUCKLAND City Football Club was deeply saddened to hear the tragic news that Ngaruawahia United President Jared Williams has passed away.
The brother of former Navy Blues midfielder Matt Williams, Jared featured for Ngaruawahia United as both a player and administrator devoting his life to the club he loved.
The thoughts and prayers of everyone at the club and the Auckland City FC and Central United FC family are with Jared’s family and friends at this deeply sad time.
"Everyone at Kiwitea Street sends Jared's wife Lisa and children, Maxine, Rick, Steve, Linda, Emily and, of course, Matt and Katie our deepest love and condolences," club chairperson Ivan Vuksich said.
To pay tribute to Jared, a minute’s silence will be held before Saturday’s Northern League match with West Coast Rangers FC.
