CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee - Auckland City FC have safely arrived in their home base at the scenic city of Chattanooga, ahead of their FIFA Club World Cup campaign and the reception has been nothing short of heartwarming.

Nestled among the rolling hills and historic charm of Chattanooga, the team was greeted with genuine Southern hospitality from the local community and a particularly warm embrace from Chattanooga FC, the city’s own football club.
The Navy Blues have quickly settled into their training base at the prestigious Baylor School, an institution as striking in reputation as it is in location. The training facilities have earned high praise from the players and staff, helping the team maintain focus during these final stages of preparation.
Adding a thoughtful touch to the welcome, Baylor School presented the entire Auckland City FC delegation with commemorative shirts, a gesture that was met with appreciation and pride by the visitors.
City striker Myer Bevan shared his impressions: “Yeah, it’s been unbelievable, you know. It’s been a very good welcome from everyone and then we’re here at Baylor School and the facilities are very, very good. So, no, look, we’re just preparing like we have been so far and we’re just excited to get started.”
Auckland City FC will kick off their FIFA Club World Cup campaign with a showdown against German powerhouse Bayern Munich on Sunday, June 15 at 12:00 PM local time in Cincinnati’s TQL Stadium. For fans back home in New Zealand, the match will air at 4:00 AM on Monday, June 16.
