Paul Posa
Head Coach
Paul assumed the reigns as Head Coach of Auckland City FC part way through last season's campaign. He led the team to both the New Zealand Football Championship and Oceania Champions League titles. Victory in the latter ensured the clubs qualification for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup to be staged in Abu Dhabi, UAE from 9-19 December 2009. Last season's domestic triumph was the second time Paul has coached a team to the NZ league title. In 1999 he was co-coach of Central United FC, alongside current NZ All Whites supremo Ricki Herbert, as the Kiwitea Street-based club claimed their first national league. The following year the same pair went on to lead the side to a Chatham Cup runners-up spot. Unlike many of the coaches in the NZFC, Paul is not a full-time football manager. He and his wife Duchesne have, for the past 17 years run their successful Ranfurly Dental Care practice in Epsom.
