AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Auckland City FC Academy moves into it's Term 3 programmes with news of four exciting opportunities for children and youth players to improve their skills in a fun environment.

Registrations are open now for Grassroots (children 6-8 years old), a Skills Centre for girls (females aged 9-12 years old), a Mixed Skills Centre (females/males aged 9-12 years old) and a Junior Goalkeeping (players aged 9-12 years).

Former All Whites and Auckland City FC skipper Ivan Vicelich was delighted to see the Academy attract good numbers during the summer and urged parents to register early.

"The success of the ACFC Academy programme means demand for places is high and by adding a goalkeeper academy we hope to provide opportunities for junior players to learn more about this specialist position.

"The details for each of the four programmes are outlined in the section below and we're sure the uptake will be great," he told www.aucklandcityfc.com.

All four programmes commence on July 29, 2019, and run through until the last week of September.

To register for any of our programmes, please follow the steps below:

1. Sign into MyComet: https//mycomet-oceania.analyticom.de/en_NZ
2. Check that all of your Personal Contacts are up to date (email and mobile number)
3. Select Register on the left-hand side menu.
4. Type in Auckland City FC in the 'Chooser seller' field.
5. Select the shopping cart icon for the programme(s) that you would like to attend.
6. Complete all the information fields required.
7. Follow the payment process to pay for item(s) you have selected.

FUN | GRASSROOTS (players born 2012 - 2011)

For children aged 6-8 years, the focus is on discovering basic football skills in a fun and enjoyable way under the guidance of our ACFC Premiership Team players.

WHEN Monday and Friday 4:15pm - 5:15pm (60 minute sessions, once or twice per week) Term 3: 29 July until 23 September (9 weeks)

WHERE Valonia Reserve, Valonia Street, New Windsor, Auckland

COST $75 for Monday session ($50 for ACFC partner club members) $150 for Monday and Friday sessions ($100 for ACFC partner club members)

LEARN | ACADEMY - Skills Centre - GIRLS (players born 2010 - 2006)

For girls aged 9-12 years, the focus is on improving the core skills needed to play football within the context of the game under the guidance of our specialist junior coaches.

WHEN Monday 4:15pm - 5:30pm (75 minute sessions, once or twice per week) Term 3: 29 July until 27 September (9 weeks)

WHERE Valonia Reserve, Valonia Street, New Windsor, Auckland

COST $75 for Monday session ($50 for ACFC partner club members) $150 for Monday and Friday sessions ($100 for ACFC partner club members)

LEARN | ACADEMY - Skills Centre - MIXED (players born 2010 - 2007)

For juniors aged 9-12 years, the focus is on improving the core skills needed to play football within the context of the game under the guidance of our specialist junior coaches.

WHEN Monday and Friday 4:15pm - 5:30pm (75 minute sessions, once or twice per week) Term 3: 29 July until 27 September (9 weeks)

LEARN | ACADEMY - Junior Goalkeeping (players born 2010 - 2007)

For players aged 9-12 years, these sessions are led by ACFC Goalkeeping Coach Simone Naddi and the focus is on improving the fundamental techniques of goalkeeping.

WHEN Monday 4:15pm to 5:15pm (60 minute session, once per week) Term 3: 29 July until 27 September (9 weeks)
