AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Auckland City FC's Academy unfurls it's Term 2 and 3 programme at Valonia Reserve in New Windsor - find out what's available for your child right here!
Academy Director Nic Downes said the next phase of development is crucial in taking steps towards breakthrough learning for a footballer.
“The 9 year old to 12 year old age bracket is what we call the ‘golden age’ of learning.
"This is the optimal time to focus on improving the core skills needed to play football," he told www.aucklandcityfc.com.
WHAT
Auckland City FC ACademy delivers a Player Development Program (PDP) which offers all players a comprehensive pathway from Grassroots to Senior football and beyond.
The Grassroots Skills introduces our young players (U-7 to U-8) to basic football skills in a fun and enjoyable way under the guidance of our Auckland City FC first team players.
The Skills Centre is for junior players (U-9 to U-12) who are wanting to develop themselves for long-term participation in football.
COSTS
Skills Centre: $100 per term for Central United FC members
Skills Centre: $150 per term for others
Grassroots: $50 per term for Central United FC members
Grassroots: $75 per term for others
WHEN
Academy Skills Centre for players born 2010-2007
Monday’s and Friday’s from 4:15pm to 5:30pm (75 minute session)
Term 2: 6 May until 5 July (9 weeks).
Term 3: 29 July until 27th September (9 weeks)
Grassroots Skills for players born 2012 - 2011
Monday 4:15pm - 5:15pm (60 minute session)
Term 2: 6 May until 1 July (9 weeks).
Term 3: 29 July until 23 September (9 weeks)
