AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Navy Blues coach Ramon Tribulietx has taken time out from his festive break to wish Auckland City FC supporters across the globe a very happy holiday season.

The Navy Blues supremo ended 2018 at the top of the ISPS Handa Premiership with a 100 percent winning record and wanted to take time to extend the club's thanks.

"Season's Greetings to Navy Blues supporters from everyone here at Auckland City FC," Tribulietx told aucklandcityfc.com

"As usual we face a mid-season summer break and the players and coaches will get the chance to spend some time with their families away from the rigours of training.

"We worked the players hard even beyond our last game of the year so its always nice to take time away to be with family.

"The players each have their individual responsibilities to work on their fitness and come back ready to go for the second half of the season.

"I wish everyone connected with the club a safe, happy and prosperous holiday season in 2019 and beyond," he said.

The first game of the new years pits Auckland City FC up against Waitakere United in a Super City derby at Trusts Arena in Henderson on Sunday 6 January 2019.

The match kicks off at 2pm NZST.
