Friendly set for Madills Farm
AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Auckland City FC travel to Madills Farm to face ISPS Handa Premiership rivals Eastern Suburbs AFC in their latest pre-season friendly.
The trip to Madills Farm is the Navy Blues third friendly of the campaign following a 4-2 win over Hamilton Wanderers and a 0-0 draw with Canterbury United, both at Auckland Grammar.
Eastern Suburbs AFC enjoyed their highest finish in the ISPS Handa Premiership in recent times when they reached last season's semi-finals before losing heavily to Auckland City FC.
Auckland City FC begins their ISPS Handa Premiership season when they face Oceania champions Team Wellington at Kiwitea Street on Saturday 14 October 2018.
Up for grabs is the NZF Charity Cup, a trophy Auckland City FC have won on four previous occasions since 2011.
Team Wellington are the current holders after they defeated the Navy Blues 3-1 at David Farrington Park in last season's campaign opener.
