WELLINGTON PHOENIX RECORDS

Wellington Phoenix reserves have often risen to the occasion when playing the Navy Blues. In fact, Auckland City are one of the few teams the Wee Nix have beaten twice since joining the league in 2014.

In the first ever competitive match between the sides, three goals in the first half hour fired the Wee Nix to a 3-1 win at Kiwitea Street, but Navy Blues responded later in the season with a 7-0 hammering in Wellington.

Last season, the Wee Nix defeated the Navy Blues 1-0 in the capital with the only goal of the game scored by former Navy Blues player Logan Rogerson.

Those Wee Nix victories have yet to be matched by their senior side with Auckland City unbeaten in three matches against the clubs’ first team.
