Auckland City FC Awards Evening a success
AUCKLAND, New Zealand - The Auckland City FC Annual Awards dinner took place at the Navy Blues Kiwitea Street clubrooms in Sandringham last night and here are your list of winners.
Team captain Angel Berlanga became the first Auckland City FC player to win the Player of the Year award following wins in 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.
Emiliano Tade also won the Keryn Jordan Memorial Trophy for the second time.
The coveted Players' Player of the Year trophy was won by the popular Marko Dordevic while Mario Bilen picked up Supporters' Player of the Year.
Sportsman of the Year went to goalkeeper Danyon Drake.
The club recognised the contribution of its support-base with the 248 Service Crew sharing the Cameron Jones Memorial Award while club character Mike Vessey, affectionately known as 'The Bucket Man' shared Club Member of the Year with Mat Pocrnich.
The Junior Navy Blues Player of the Year award recipient was Dino Botica, Most Improved went to Moses Akimana and Sportsman of the Year went to Keegan Ashdown-Inia.
Jack Anderson won the Golden Boot award.
