AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Auckland City Councillor Desley Simpson says Auckland City FC's Nike Lunar New Year Cup win in Hong Kong was a major boost for football and opens up potential new markets for the city and New Zealand.
Simpson, who was at Kiwitea Street for the club's Team Media Day, was delighted to see an Auckland sports team compete and win at a major international competition and believes new opportunities will arise for the club and the city.
