FCWC Trophy Tour Kicks Off in New York City

NEW YORK, United States - The FIFA Club World Cup™ Trophy Tour launched today at Tiffany & Co.’s iconic Fifth Avenue store, marking the beginning of a five-month global journey, which will include a visit to Auckland City FC.

The trophy will travel to the home cities of all 32 competing clubs during an epic 147-day tour across 20 countries and 29 cities, starting in Lisbon, Portugal.

It will arrive in Auckland in mid-March before its final stop in Miami in time for the tournament’s opening match on Saturday, 14 June 2025.

The glittering New York launch featured performances by Robbie Williams and pianist Alexis Ffrench and was attended by over 200 special guests, including FIFA President Gianni Infantino and FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström.

Auckland City FC was represented by club legend Ivan Vicelich and FCWC25 project manager Chris Kemp.

At the event, FIFA President Gianni Infantino remarked, “Over 140 days in 29 cities across 20 countries, this will be an epic journey for the trophy.”

Ivan Vicelich highlighted the significance of this competition for the club. “It’s the biggest tournament in our history, and it’s an honour to represent our country and region. We are excited and ready for the challenge ahead.”

“As the start of our FIFA Club World Cup campaign approaches, the awareness of the challenge ahead and the level of excitement around the club, the players, staff, and fans are increasing. Today’s event was another major milestone on the journey towards our opening game against Bayern Munich,” said Vicelich.

Ticket sales for the inaugural tournament have reopened, and fans can book their seats on FIFA.com/tickets.
