AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Central United FC and Auckland City FC expresses our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Linda Rudez who recently passed away after a short yet courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Linda was a great friend and supporter of both of our clubs. Her three sons played all their football at Central United and husband Ivan was conferred Life Membership of the club in 2011.
Along with Ivan and their family Linda was a long-time, highly appreciated sponsor of football at Kiwitea Street.

So many memorable evenings over the years were hosted by the Rudez family at Gee Gees Bar & Brasserie as our past teams celebrated success on the playing field.
In a joint statement Central United President Mate Tolj & Auckland City FC Chairman Ivan Vuksich said the following:
“Linda was a big part of our Kiwitea Street family for many decades and we will all miss her very much.
Her kindness, generosity and support will always be fondly remembered.
Our deepest sympathies are extended to Ivan Snr, Mathew & Vanessa, Anthony & Victoria, Ivan Jnr & De-Arna and their families at this time.
Linda’s memory will always hold a special place at Kiwitea Street and her contribution to our clubs will be forever cherished.”
A private memorial service will be held this coming week to honour Linda’s life.
