AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Auckland City FC Futsal Navy Blues have created history at the Youth Futsal Championships in Wellington this week.

Auckland City FC women's Futsal teams created history by recording their first wins at the Youth Futsal Championship in Wellington.

The U-15 team defeated Bay of Plenty Surge 8-1 in their first game of Match Day Two thanks to goals from Mel Pacheco, Olivia Rosescu, Anika Naidu, Kate Beaguley and Piper O'Neill.

Sienna Kirk and Isabella Cranefield scored a goal each in a narrow 2-1 win over Capital Futsal while a Penny Brill double combined with goals from Katherine Fulton and an own goal provided the U-17 women with a 4-3 win over Bay of Plenty Surge.

It was a tough run for the U-15 boys team who picked up one win, a 9-5 victory over Southern United, thanks to a hat-trick from Benjamin Perez Baldoni, a pair of braces by Caio McMath and Mojtaba Sayed.

Kip Smart and Cristian Gascu rounded off the scoring for City.

In the U-19 men's section, Auckland City FC had three narrow single goal defeats but did pick up a 4-2 win over Bay of Plenty Surge with Oscar Yee, Kern Platt-Mills, Tasuku Yoneto and Will Richardson scoring for the Futsal Navy Blues youngsters.
