AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Cashmere Technical was formed in early 2012 from the merger of two of the city's premier teams, Cashmere Wanderers and Woolston Technical.

The two clubs had agreed to work together in early 2011, and the 2011 Christchurch earthquake which devastated their home city and resulted in the loss of many playing facilities hastened their merger into a combined side. Cashmere Technical play in the Southern League, and have won the Chatham Cup three times.

COACH - DAN SCHWARZ
Dan Schwarz played over 200 times for Cashmere Technical alongside his twin brother Tom. The pair also turned out for Canterbury United Dragons during the New Zealand Football Championship era. Schwarz has helped Technical win 16 titles in the Mainland Premier League (6), English Cup (4), South Island Football Championship (4) and back-to-back Chatham Cup national knockout competition titles in 2013-14.He grew up in Winsford, Cheshire and was a Stoke City junior before signing on as an apprentice with Walsall.

PLAYER TO WATCH - KIAN DONKERS
Dutch-born 18-year old striker Kian Donkers lit up the OFC U-19 Championship in Tahiti in September as he helped guide his country to qualification for next year's FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia. Donkers scored 9 goals in five games in Tahiti and shared the Golden Boot award with international team-mate Oliver Colloty of Melville United. Donkers netted 12 goals in 15 games for Cashmere Technical during the winter and is easy to identify due to his towering presence.
