AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Maro Bonsu-Maro wants the Junior Navy Blues to build on yesterday's 2-0 win over Southern United in the National Youth League.

A goaless draw with Canterbury United was viewed as something of a speed bump for the youngsters but they bounced back convincingly to knock over the Dragons South Island rivals, Southern United, at Kiwitea Street on Sunday.

"We played much better than we did last week and we finally managed to get a couple of goals and our attacking efforts were pretty good today.

"We kept plenty of possession. When Nacho scored today, he had a pretty weird set-up for the free-kick, but we scored.

"Looking ahead to next week, all we can ask for is another win adn another three points," he said.

The Junior Navy Blues next match in the National Youth League is scheduled for Sunday 20 November, 2016, when they play host to the Wellington Phoenix at Kiwitea Street.

The match kicks off at 1pm.
