ACademy registration open for Term 1

AUCKLAND, New Zealand - Registration for the Auckland City FC ACademy is now open with times, dates, costs and venues now confirmed.

The Auckland City Academy is back in term one delivering our quality football development for junior players aged 7 to 12 years.

The Junior Academy includes the Grassroots, Skills Centre, Goalkeeping and Futsal programs, which offer all players, male and female, additional training opportunities guided by specialist Auckland City FC coaches.

The Grassroots programme is for children aged 7-8 years. The focus is on discovering basic football skills in a fun and enjoyable way under the guidance of our Auckland City FC Premier Team players. Further details here.

The Skills Centre is for children aged 9-12 years. Players are exposed to a structured training programme that places an emphasis on learning within the context of the game while being part of an enjoyable environment that maximises player development. Further details Girls and Mixed.

The Goalkeeping sessions are for children aged 9-12 years. The focus is on improving the fundamental techniques of goalkeeping under the guidance of our specialist goalkeeping coaches. Further details here.

The fast-paced, skilful game of futsal is an invaluable tool for the development of footballers. The game promotes decision-making in limited time and space, individual ball skills, combination play, off the ball movement, creativity and improvisation.
